Journey of a small village boy from unknown to known personality
Journey of a small village boy from unknown to known personality
When we talk about Success or see the successful people around, we think they turned to the known stars overnight, but we forget to see and understand their continuous efforts, their struggling days and nights, their efforts, their positive attitude, their dedication and a feeling to turn every failure to Success. Becoming a helping hand and hope for many from the Crowd, itself a big achievement.
College Life
The very first day, I went to college and entered the classroom a girl well-educated from an English medium school said look the people from the village are coming to do engineering and they think they will change the world. I am sure he will not be able to survive even a single semester you illiterate villagers (I had no idea what she said in English as I did not know English very well. No one was willing to be friends with me because of my dressing sense until I met 3 of my friends.
As I mentioned, my English was so weak and I was not able to understand what my teachers were saying. So, I was looking at the same girl and when she was taking notes I was also taking notes.
College went well till 3rd year of my engineering and then we all started preparing for the written exams so that we could appear in interviews.
Companies came, I appeared and was not able to qualify for the interviews, and started feeling like a loser with no moral support with me. And I felt like the below image.
Interview Failures
After getting the failures in many Interviews (Approximately. 25-30), I finally got selected by a small Company named “Astrea IT Services” based in India and that gave a Kick to my technical career. I still have those days in my mind when I took 15 days to write very small triggers and then people compared me with my colleagues saying look at them, where you stand in front of them but all that sarcasm was my strength which motivated me to prove everybody wrong and today, where I am, is a big slap to all my criticizers.
Career Development
I am working as a Salesforce Tech Lead and aiming to achieve more using the same platform. My next target is to become a Certified Technical Architect. But when I look back, I realize the hard work and efforts I put in to become a successful developer from a struggling trainee.
I am not ashamed to mention that I am the same person who was not able to understand the English language which was itself the big barrier to my Success, it gave me so much headache. I never saw the computer before my graduation. The computer was a new toy for me and when I opened it for the first time, typing my name on it was a 3 hours task for me but all that struggling environment and the criticism from many on a daily basis was not able to break me. When everybody announced me as the big loser, my inner self never accepted the same and that was the day when I decided to turn my every failure into a big success. That one thought and my passion to become Successful changed everything for me.
As my journey was so much struggle and there was no mental and emotional support available to me and when it came to technical, a long list of tasks was always there with no help but that was a life-changing opportunity for me and I took all the challenges in a positive manner and start adapting myself as per the challenges. I used to work for 17 hours which made my base strong and because of that hard work, today I am capable of helping many because I understand how it feels when you want a single positive hope in your life but there isn’t any.
Time to give back
Today, I have more than 6 years of Salesforce experience and in these 6 years, I am 22*Salesforce Certified. A Few of my achievements are mentioned below:
- The biggest achievement that I consider is my inbox which is always full of help requests and I love to see and resolve those messages on a daily basis. I devote my 5 hours on daily basis to helping people who are willing to learn but need a small push.
- Today, I am capable enough to write a Blog named SFDC Panther and have a YouTube channel which I exclusively start at the request of many who want lightning videos. When it comes to community and helping people, I am continuously in the top 10 for the last 2 years without any failure. Because of my passion to help my Ohana and my behavior to uplift everyone to make the Ohana stronger, I got a chance to Lead the Faridabad Admin Group. and now I am leading the Salesforce Group in the Kanpur region.
- I have started my own Mock Interview PodCast where I do interview the students and freshers to give them the feel of a real interview and then provide them with genuine feedback.
- I also have a few courses on the Udemy Platform and Here is my profile.
My Suggestions
The mentality in which I strongly believe, in and follow is “If you will not help yourself, no one else is going to help you.” Keeping that one thought in mind I am traveling for many years towards successful growth in Salesforce. My keen interest and dedication to learning new things always help me to gather updated information about Salesforce. I genuinely value and care about my Ohana which always strengthens me to Learn and guide others with my knowledge. Keep learning and adapting new things is always a plus for me.“Your background or birthplace doesn’t define your Success, it is your zeal to achieve everything bigger which defines your Success.” Never ever underestimate yourself, just keep moving with a positive attitude and one-day success would be with you is the rule I follow.
Continuous Learning
I am not saying I am a pro in English and communication, I am still learning a lot of things with my seniors, mentors, colleagues, and my juniors as well. I do not have any place for junior and senior ego.
Please free to reach out to me if you need any help from my side.

Hi Amit,
Your story really motivated me. I started my career almost 3 years ago as a salesforce admin and today i am a good administrator and but not a developer.
As i started my career as an admin then you know that mostly company will treat you only as an admin.
But I always want to be a good developer but due to lack coding practice and knowledge it was difficult to achieve this. So from today onwards i will promise myself that one day i will be a good developer and will prove myself.
Thanks for sharing your journey.
Hi Kulwant,
Thanks for your kind words 🙂
All the best for your journey. Let me know if I can help you in any way.
Thanks,
Amit Singh
Reading about you is worth-full, a true inspirational and trusty. Good to see you didnt forgot your past and your past is giving you strength and motivated to help and guide others. keep going!!! Your kind of people are the true hero and building country and society.
I would request you, please mention/ask in every video for/to the audience. Please help/mentor just one person and take this same commitment from others. I have seen many selfish people learn from your video but dont help/mentor others. They dont believe in sharing but only wanted to acquire knowledge/information from others and make her/his career success…. strange but the fact!!
Thanks, Raju. We can not force anyone to do something if they really feel they should do they will. There are many people in the community who are doing great work 🙂
